Our Journey

From Clinic to Comfort: Our Story

Founded by Dr. Cathy Theisen, Cathy The Vet was born out of a desire to offer high-quality veterinary care in a stress-free environment. With extensive experience in various veterinary settings, Dr. Cathy recognized the need for home-based services.

Our approach focuses on the well-being of pets, easing the anxiety associated with traditional veterinary visits and ensuring that every pet’s needs are met.

Our Purpose

Veterinary Missions

I have been lucky enough to travel to some very remote locales as a veterinary volunteer. This is my favorite kind of travel, because it represents total immersion in the community and the opportunity to make the world a better place. Veterinary missions typically have several common themes:

  • Free basic health care for the animals in impoverished communities
  • Education and cooperation with local veterinarians and students
  • Awareness education on animal welfare issues for the next generation
  • Improvement of human health/livliehood through animal health care
  • Creation of strong friendships and bonds that occur when we struggle for a common cause
